After a year of wanting, 9 months of development, 6 months of searching and 30 days of negotiation - and a 4-day weekend of celebration - EmpaCurious has secured a venue in South Sarasota to call home, right in the heart of the booming South Sarasota retail/food market!

The nascent food startup launched its prototype operation in September 2016 out of a catering kitchen at The Center of Anna Maria Island and has since built an impressive offering of artisinal empanadas and international, gourmet street foods. Spanning nine different cuisine profiles to date - from Latin America, to Asia, and the Caribbean - the menu now includes vegan, vegetarian, gluten-free and Paleo options, as well as a complete line of heat & serve meals for today's busy families and well-informed, health & fitness-focused consumers.

The new venue is located in the hip-funky-trendy Gulf Gate Retail Village. The Village is known for it's bar scene, wacky food joints, mix of tourists and locals and offers an array of down-home, reasonably priced foods and late night munchies ranging from Jersey Pizza, Chicago Beef, Irish Pubs, Sushi, to a French Bakery, an Asian market, and more. This cocktail of curious diners, locals, tourists and gastro-pub goers is exactly what EmpaCurious needs to showcase its unique take on high-end/great-value multicultural street food.

Work is already underway to freshen-up the venue in preparation for an August/September opening. All food services in Anna Maria and Bradenton, including the online ordering, mobile apps and delivery services, have been closed down to allow the team to focus exclusively on new venue preparations. Meanwhile, you can stay up on news, dates, and deals by clicking "Get-In-On-The-Buzz" on the EmpaCurious home page.

"We are excited to be taking this big step and look forward to seeing our local friends from Bradenton, Anna Maria and Sarasota and our snow bird customers from the Midwest and Northeast. We are most excited about making new friends in Gulf Gate Village and expanding our tribe of fellow foodies", said Alfonso Abreu, CEO
