Two years ago, from a hidden kitchen at the Center of Anna Maria Island, EmpaCurious experimented with creating traditional Street Foods made in non-traditional ways.  Our baked, Argentina-Style Empanadas and Gluten-Free Brazilian Cheese Breads are hugely successful examples of that early work.

In January, we introduced Vegan versions of our Empanadas, basted with a vegan egg substitute. an stuffed with original healthy delights, like Mushroom  and Brown Rice Flamenco, Spinach and Kale Tango, and Black Bean & Corn Jalisco, and much more.

Last week, we kicked thins up to another level and decided to go back to our original healthy Tacos idea. We've since amped-it-up several notches with recent innovations  developed by an expanded team, including a new Vegan cook.

That said, next week we will be rolling-out a line of healthy Taco creations on the Market Side of EmpaCurious., beginning with coolness such as Jack Fruit Jalisco (Mexican spice palate, aromatics, secret sauce), Lentil & Quinoa, Chicken Bhangra, and Pork Tenderloin Soca with Sweet Plantains.  

Taco creations will are served  daily for Market-Side lunch and as Tapas for special and late-night events.

EmpaCurious, located at 6559 Gateway Avenue, is currently open Tuesday through Saturday. The Grab & Go Market serves Quick-Serve meals and Grab & Go from 11 a.m. to 9 p.m.; The Bistro serves upscale-casual dining Tuesday through Thursday from 5 to 9 p.m., and Friday -Saturday until 10 p.m. Live Music Dinner Shows are presented as #EmpaCuriousLive every Saturdays, rotating around Flamenco, Brazilian, Middle Eastern and Caribbean themes. A late night Cuban/Salsa Dance night takes place on the 4th Saturdays.
